Hi I'm Michelle

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

While I am originally from Utah I've lived in up-state New York for the past 22 years. I am married to an Electrical Engineer, am the mother of four, and a relatively new grandma. I enjoy reading, digital scrapbooking, making jewelry, playing the piano, and working out at the YMCA.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are members of the church and had me baptised as a child. But I'm still a Mormon because over the years I've had many experiences that have helped me to know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I remember one particular experience while I was in the Missionary Training Center. I was learning a discussion about Joseph Smith and as I was speaking the lines I was trying to learn the Holy Ghost bore testimony to me that the words I was speaking were true.

How I live my faith

I try to remember that all that I am and everything that I have are gifts from my Heavenly Father. By keeping that foremost in my mind I find that I can do the things that are asked of me, even if they're hard. Right now I work with little girls between the ages of eight and eleven. I really enjoy their enthusiasm and their confidence that Heavenly Father loves them. Through the years and the different opportunities to serve I have grown so much and have developed a much greater love for my Saviour and my fellow men.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

When Christ was on the earth he established his church with prophets and apostles. Knowing that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever it only seems logical that he would have a prophet on the earth today. A prophet is the mouthpiece of God on the earth. In Amos 3:7 is says: "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets." I feel blessed to know that there is a living prophet on the earth today.
