Hi I'm Jonathan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife, Lilia, and I have been married for almost 16 years and we have 3 sons. We live in the beautiful town of Athens, Georgia...home of the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!!). I work as a manager in a local hospital and have been there for 16 amazing years! I grew up on a farm in South Georgia in a town. I love being with my family and sharing each moment we can. I also enjoy fishing, traveling, singing, playing piano, Georgia football and listening to music.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a Mormon all of my life. I was born to a beautiful family and learned the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ at an early age. It wasn't until my mom died when I was 12 that I started to sincerely and deeply question my faith. I read the Book of Mormon and I felt peace. I prayed to Heavenly Father to know if it was true. The answer was clearly given to me through the Holy Ghost. There is no doubt in my mind now that it is true. Because of this knowledge, I know that Joseph Smith was called of God as a prophet and translated the Book of Mormon by the power of God. Joseph Smith was simply the instrument in God's hands just like the prophets of old. Through him, the Lord restored ALL of the truths of his everlasting Gospel to the earth. These truths are all the earth today for all of us, His children.

How I live my faith

I love serving my brothers and sisters! It is the most rewarding experience to help try and make a difference in the lives of others. I've served in many responsibilities in church, each of which have blessed me with opportunities to help others. My family and I attend a Spanish-speaking congregation. It is such a blessing to know and love the faithful, humble members of our congregation. We are one big family. We are far from perfect but we strive to help strengthen and support each other on a daily basis.
