Hi I'm Tamra

I grew up in Cedar City, Utah. I am a mom of eight and an organist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom of eight children. I love to run and read and play the piano. I'm training for a 26 mile marathon. I love playing with and teaching my grandchildren. I love learning about God.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I feel so alive in my religion. I find so much satisfaction serving in my Church. I know God blesses me as I listen to His words taught in this Church. I am a Mormon because I know God has restored His true gospel to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He loves us so much and showers down blessings beyond description in this Church.

How I live my faith

I serve my Church and fellowman by playing the organ for our Church services. I love playing the organ, which feels like you are conducting a huge orchestra. It is a joy to see how inspired music helps everyone worship. I also love visiting different members and talking with them about doctrine and how we can improve our lives.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Tamra
We need a Savior because of our inherent mortal weaknesses. We don't have enought knowledge or abilibty to save ourselves. We fell with Adam from God's presence and perfection. We need a Savior to lift us back up and help us overcome the foibles of the flesh. Show more Show less

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Tamra
Mormon Temples are used for sacred ordinances. We seal together families- for now and forever. We baptise people who have died and give them a chance to choose Christ's Kingdom if they would like to. Mormon Temples are a refuge from the many bad things in the world and bring peace and comfort to our lives. Show more Show less
