Hi I'm Aubrey

I'm from the blessed Arizona desert, & I'm a rock music favoring, history & art studying, baseball loving, travel hungry, Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student at BYU-I, about to graduate.I love school, so much that I'd be fine with being a professional student if it were practical. I love the job I had at a preschool kids at that age are just so much fun, quite possibly I will make a career out of that. I love to travel and I've had many opportunities to do so already. I taught English in China, served a mission in Portugal and with my art studies was able to go to Greece and Rome. I love different cultures, people, and customs, learning about them and their history. I love to explore and discover new places. I'm pretty well rounded and love a lot of things-so enjoying life isn't all that difficult for me.

Why I am a Mormon

Of course starting out in life I was a Mormon because my family was but it was in high school where I truly came to know the truth of the gospel for myself, no longer was I a Mormon just for my parents sake, or that's what all my friends were so I need to be one. Ever since then I've had a strong conviction to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through many experiences and through my studying and what I've learned about the world and people, those simple truths my parents taught me and what I grew up learning about ring true. The gospel of Jesus Christ is Christ's only true church on the earth today. It makes sense, it's the only church that teaches certain doctrines, like eternal marriage and families, that we can do work for those that have already passed, that we have a Heavenly Mother and that we have the potential to be like our Father in Heaven and return to live with him and His plan of Happiness for us. No one else teaches these great doctrinal truths, some questioningly turn their nose down at it. I know it's true and I know the gospel gives people a true and lasting joy and an idea about their identity, worth, and purpose like nothing else can on his earth, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

With school I've moved around quite a bit in these past couple of years so I've had the opportunity to have a lot of different callings in the church one that comes up a lot is to be a teacher and I've really enjoyed that trying to help instill a love of Christ and the gospel to those I teach. Through the church I've been able to participate in a good number of service projects, painting over graffiti on fences, painting and cleaning a neighbors house, making food for food kitchens, helping with events for those with special needs and many more opportunities. Through that I have learned more about myself and having a genuine love for others.
