Hi I'm Jared

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in a small town in Utah, I enjoyed it as a youth, not so much in my early teenage years but now I wouldn't live any where else. As a child I had an average life, from climbing trees to get cherries in the summer to going sledding in the winter. It seemed like my little group of friends and I were always on some sort of adventure. As I grew I always believed in what my parents taught me and tried to do what I was supposed to but as I got older I fell and tried to get back up and kept doing that until I fell hard enough it took a bit to recover. But I can honestly say that the Lord lifted me back up in the most interesting way but I know it was crafted for me. As He lifted me I was filled with a new desire to do what is right. Each day I am learning and trying to grow stronger. It's quite the task, I have ups and downs a lot in this process but I know eventually I will be able to rise above and be who I am meant to be. With all that said, we are hear to have joy as well as improve. Those two must go hand in hand. One once said "find joy in the Journey". let me mention a few things you I'm sure will find joy in, such as, Longboarding, imagine it just flowing across the earth in harmony with life. It's beautiful. Beginning the journey to play guitar, with each step being able to produce music is incredible! No words can explain. And many other things just simply add to our journey.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because the teaching I learn and way I feel as I do is incredible. I believe The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints contains the truth of this life and God's plan for me. I believe it contains the authority that allows us to arrive back with our Heavenly Father and how we can gain peace and happiness in our lives. I believe that through the teachings of the scriptures coupled with words of modern day prophets I am given the understanding I need to grow closer to Jesus Christ. And last of all I know from experience and searching that the Book of Mormon is true and it's words have given me the strength and ability to go through things I never could have. The Lord used it to change my life and to bring me back to Him. Surely it is of God!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being true to what I know is right, the gospel gives me the understanding of what Heavenly Father want's of me, what I can be, and how I can eventually reach it. I do my best to to live up to that and hope I can eventually through his mercy and grace become who He wants me to be. I also live it by being true to who I am and trying my best to be genuine and sincere about all things. Focusing on what matters most. Life is to find joy, if joy is far from me, I must rethink my approach on life. It keeps my faith growing.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Jared
Some things that tell me there is a God is I have gone through many great experineces as well as many trials and tests in this life like we all do. And as I have enjoyed them and got through them I have looked back and saw His hand in them all. They have all helped me to lift me and make me better. I see my family and how I was raised and can't help but confess that I was given exactly what I needed for my personal growth. I know that each experience is grafted and designed specifically for me, that doesn't happen by happenchance. Their is a designer that cares for each one of us. He knows what we need specifically and if we allow He can show us His hand in our lives. Show more Show less
