Hi I'm Andrew

I'm a good listener and your new best friend. I'm also a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wonderful wife and two amazing boys and we are so fortunate to live in CO. We're from the midwest originally but always wanted to move to Colorado. So here we are living the dream. We love to spend time outdoors riding our bikes, running and skiing. Our boys also love swimming and playing in the water, i.e. flooding the backyard. I spend my days working as an engineer building a machine to get your clothes clean. It's fresh, green and really interesting. Each day I learn something new and what I continue to find out is I don't know what I don't know. But I keep getting closer...

Why I am a Mormon

Because Mormons are cool, just like you and your family, or you next door neighbor. Some of my best friends are Mormon and some of my best friends aren't. It's a great blessing that I can find common ground with my friends both in the church and out. I wasn't always a Mormon but I knew some people in high school that were and I really admired their good attitudes and great examples. They were fun to hang out with and knew how to enjoy life without getting into trouble. I'm a Mormon now because the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I found this out through studying the Book of Mormon and learning gospel principles from missionaries and friends. It was a decision that took a lot of consideration, thought and prayer. But when it came down to it I couldn't deny the truthfulness of the things I had been taught and the feelings I had when I was taught them. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has brought me so many huge blessings. I've been blessed with a wonderful wife and amazing kids. I've got a great job and am able to provide for my family. It's hard to imagine what my life would be like without my membership in this church. But even without these blessings, if I was alone and sick and poor, the gospel of Jesus Christ would still be true because Jesus Christ is our Savior and he suffered and died for us. He did this because He loves us and wants us to be able to live with him in Heaven again someday. I know this because of the feelings I get when I think about the things Jesus endured for me. Life isn't always easy and I still struggle with the challenges of everyday life. Work can be stressful and family time can be crazy. I still get sick and tired and burnt out. But being a member gives me purpose, perspective and direction. It's a great thing to know that I am a child of God. And it's a great thing to be a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I get to help others learn about the church by visiting with those who might not be familiar with the teachings of Jesus Christ. I get to help them discover the wonderful teachings of the Book of Mormon and answer questions similar to the ones I had when I was first learning about the LDS church.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Heavenly Father loves all of us as we are all His children. He wants us to be able to return to live with Him in Heaven again some day. He provided a plan for this to be possible. Jesus Christ is central to this plan and through His Atoning sacrfice we can return to live with Heavenly Father if we demonstate faith, repentance and participate in the ordinances of the Priesthood.
