Hi I'm Nathan

I was born in Houston, Texas. I play too many video games. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and the father of four very happy, very fun children. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I'm a bit of a video game junkie, though I mainly enjoy retro games like those from the 8-bit and 16-bit era.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church and was baptized as a child. As a teenager I came to know the truth of the Lord's gospel by reading both the Bible and the Book of Mormon cover-to-cover. For me, prayer has always been effective when I tell God my decision and asking for confirmation of that decision. When I told Heavenly Father that I felt that the Gospel as taught in the scriptures was true, I felt a confirming witness that it was indeed true. Since that time, I have never had serious doubts about the actuality of the Savior and his Church.

How I live my faith

I serve as a secretary to priesthood leaders in my ward. I like to think that my service takes care of the administration of the priesthood activities so those leaders can worry more about ministering to Church members. For example, I make appointments and keep records of when members have been visited. I also get the word out to other priesthood brethren when a family needs help, like unloading a moving van.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Mormons believe the we are saved ONLY in and through the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We do not believe that anyone can "earn" their salvation. Salvation is a gift, given by Christ to those who take upon themselves His name and follow his commandments to the end. Show more Show less
