Hi I'm Joseph

I live in Rota, Spain and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married and have two children. I'm in the military. I love to hike and camp.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon. Over time I saw the good people that my mom and dad were as they lived the teachings of Jesus Christ and I realized that was what I wanted. I have come to know on my own as I have grown and followed these same teachings, the happiness they bring.

How I live my faith

At home I work hand in hand with my wife as we teach our small family the purpose of life and the importance of having our Savior as our guiding example. I also teach the young men and boy scouts in our church. On Sunday's I teach 14 and 15 year old's lessons on topics such as "being a helpful family member", "respecting women" and "worthy thoughts." On Wednesday's and many Saturday's I serve as a scoutmaster in our Boy Scout program, teaching the young men the value of hard work and also the importance of having clean, wholesome adventures. It is a great challenge but very enjoyable to work with them and see them make good decisions in their lives.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

We believe that we are saved by the love that our Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ have for us i.e. we are saved by grace. We believe that we must also do all that we can do to follow our Heavenly Fathers commandments, not to "earn our salvation" but because it is what He has asked us to do. Show more Show less
