Hi I'm Angie

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and I have 1 brother and 4 sisters who are my best friends!

About Me

I am very happy to be a Grandma! It comes faster than you can imagine! I have loved being a mother of 4 amazing kids and have so much joy in my life because of my children. Having a grandchild is the icing on the cake for sure! It's all worth it! Not that life is easy with kids cuz it's NOT! but raising children teaches you things about yourself and others that nothing else can and it briings you more blessings than you can ever imagine! I have had the unfortunate experience of going thru a divorce the effect it has on everyone. I will say though, that I have been very blessed and I have grown as a person because of it. I wouldn't wish it on anyone I really don't think I would have gotten thru it without the extra strength I received thru prayer. I know my Heavenly Father knows me personally! He knows my heart, my intentions and my pain. This knowledge is what got me thru a very difficult time and helped me forgive myself and those who have hurt me. I have been blessed with a kind and loving husband and his 4 children. If anyone needs advice or just to talk to someone about the difficulties of divorce and blending families, I would love to share what I have learned. My motto is: "It's All Good!" and it is!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an active Mormon family so I don't have a conversion story although I do believe that we all must be converted at some point in our lives and decide for ourselves what we believe and why. It has been thru the trials of life that my belief in the Mormon church has been solidified and my faith and knowledge have grown so much. I am so grateful for parents that truly raised me to know what unconditional love is. I am sad that so many people have not had that example in their lives. Because of my parents examples, it is easier for me to feel the unconditional love that my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ have for me. They love me even though I am not perfect. They hurt when I hurt and they want me to make good choices so that I can be happy and return to live with them someday and find peace and happiness in this world. I have passed that unconditional love on to my children and it makes me so happy when they express it to me. It has been amazing to me how immediate my daughter understood that complete unconditional love once she had a daughter of her own. Sometimes you feel like you talk and talk and never really feel like your kids "Get it" but it is sure is fun when they do! I have been blessed beyond measure because of my membership in the Mormon church.

How I live my faith

I am proud to be a member of a church that is so community minded. I have the pleasure of working with the 10-12 year old girls in our area. We plan fun activities to help them learn new talents like cooking, sewing, physical fitness or just how to have fun and get to know each other. They are so darling and I enjoy every minute with them. We also teach them to think about others and they learn to serve and find joy in helping those in need. I am assigned to keep in tough with 3 ladies in our area and to make sure that they know I care about them and would do anything for them. What a blessing it is to be able to get to know these ladies and i definately learn more from them than they do from me. It is a great program to make sure that the ladies in the community feel like they are not alone and that someone cares about them.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Family is at the center of the Mormon church. We believe that we are sent here for a purpose and that is to be tested and learn from the mistakes we will make. The family unit is a safe place to learn and grow and support one another. Being able to be married in the temple for not only "time here on earth" but for "eternity" is the greatest blessing we could receive and we believe that having children is not only another blessing in our lives but our responsibility to give them a chance to receive a mortal body and learn from their own mistakes how to become strong.
