Hi I'm Marty Hughes

I am an entertainer, composer, studio engineer, and musician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life. I love my family and the Lord. My cornucopia is full. My Wife and I have 15 children. I find my greatest joys in the creation of my family and my music. I love watching the progression of my family with my beautiful wife, Cindy. I also get to do what I love in my profession entertaining on stage with my brothers in Branson, Missouri. I have the opportunity to plant seeds of the gospel of Jesus Christ from the stage everyday.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that this is the path that God wants me to follow. I believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the restored Church of Jesus Christ here in these latter days. I believe that Jesus Christ leads, guides, and directs the work of this church through his apostles, prophets, priesthood leaders, and lay members. I believe that the Bible is God's word as far as it is translated correctly and that the Book Of Mormon is also His word. I believe that the Book Of Mormon proves the validity of the Bible and testifies of Christ. That it contains the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. That is is for the convincing of the jew and the gentile that Jesus is the Christ. I believe that is the most correct book in helping us come unto Christ. I invite all to fellowship with us. I believe there is good to be found in all Christian denominations. Come and fellowship with us. There is great good to be done by all Christians who love the Lord and work together. Let's celebrate our common beliefs, of which, there are many. I invite all to read the Book Of Mormon because I know it will bless the life of any individual who is honestly seeking the truth and that they will gain a greater testimony of the divinity of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I could never give back to the Lord as much as he has given me! I served as a registered minister doing missionary work for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for two years in Korea. I have served in many various callings in my congregation. I am also a home teacher to five great families in the greater Branson area. I serve on scouting committees at both the unit and district levels and have been an adult volunteer in the Boy Scouts of America for many years. I enjoy doing service projects in our community. I love to serve the Lord in any way that I can.

What is the purpose of the welfare services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Marty Hughes
The purpose of Church welfare is to promote self-reliance and to care for and serve the poor and needy. For assistance, recipients are encouraged to work (when able) so that they are blessed and can bless the lives of others. Work is a guiding principle in the Church's welfare program.
