Hi I'm Mason

I'm from West Valley City, Utah. I'm an auditor working at a large accounting firm, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah. I have two younger brothers, and I enjoy spending time with my family. I recently received my Masters degree in accounting and started a job as an auditor with an accounting firm in San Diego. I'm looking forward to becoming more independent and making a life of my own as I move away from family and friends and begin this next step in my journey. I love to snowboard, and I go as much as I can. Unfortunately, there's not much snow in San Diego, so I might have to find a new hobby.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I've seen the blessings that it has brought to my family and those around me since a young age. The principles taught by the Church of Jesus Christ gave me a happy, loving home to grow up in where I could learn about my relationship with my Heavenly Father. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (a Mormon) because I know that it's Christ's church. I know that by following his teachings, I can live a better life, be happier, and return to live with him and my family again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by spending time with family and friends and making new friends. I try to be kind and help other people when I can. I try to follow the example of Jesus Christ. I'm far from perfect, but I try every day to improve and come closer to him.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

I recently had the opportunity to baptize my younger brother a few weeks after his eighth birthday. It was wonderful to see my brother follow the example of Jesus Christ by being baptized, and I was so glad that I could help my brother in that important step in his life. It's amazing to me that the Lord, through the prophet Joseph Smith, has restored His priesthood power in our time and trusts normal men like me to help in his work here on the earth. When I baptized my brother, I was able to understand more deeply the importance of the proper authority to baptize. A baptism by the proper authority means that the promise my brother made with the Lord will last for this life and the life to come. Show more Show less
