Hi I'm Julia

I grew up in Pennsylvania. I'm a mother, wife, aunt, sister, daughter, niece, cousin, and friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a full time mom living in Atlanta, Georgia. I enjoy spending time with my daughter and husband, reading, sports, music, cooking, and traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel has brought me happiness, peace, confidence, and direction throughout my life. The Book of Mormon has helped me come to know Jesus Christ, love Him more, and feel His love for me. That love gets me through the trials in life that come, whatever they may be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to love as the Savior loves, to do what He would do if He were here. This is applied most as I am mothering a new baby. I am amazed by how much the teachings of Jesus Christ help me in this endeavor. I am able to pray for guidance, patience, and strength beyond my own in the day to day challenges of parenthood. We all want our children to be safe, healthy, and successful in a world where this is increasingly more difficult to accomplish. I know through living the gospel I can have confidence in the future for my children, and for all of us. There is hope and happiness. What a blessing it is to live my faith!

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormon women are beautiful daughters of God, as are all women on the earth. They are recognized as such in the church. Women and men have different but equal responsibilities in the family and church. As a Mormon woman, I have never felt more assured of myself--my talents, my worth, my value in the eyes of God, than I have as I have actively participated in the church. Show more Show less
