Hi I'm Kendal

I give my kids super tight hugs everyday. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

If you come inside my house and look down you will find: socks...shoes...Nerf darts...more Nerf darts...and watch your step for Lego bits... My family encourages me to explore interests that I didn't even know I had. Guess what? I am pretty great at chess! I can throw a football in a perfect spiral. My family teaches me about different types of music. I can build THE BEST forts in the world out of blankets and sofa cushions. My dinners are gross but my desserts are great!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know I am a daughter of God. He is the literal Father of my spirit and I have been given this time on earth to show Him I want to return to Him someday. I am so thankful to have been born in a country that allows us the freedom to worship! I have read the Bible and the Book of Mormon and know the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. We have a living prophet on earth today just like in ancient times. Our Heavenly Father speaks to us through his prophets. What wonderful messages they have for us! I know my Savior lives! Jesus Christ has atoned my sins. I wasn't born with this knowledge. I study and pray diligently to find and know truth. I recieve answers to my prayers and have truth confirmed to me by the still small voice of the Holy Ghost. I know my Heavenly Father loves me and I will stand as a witness of God at all times. This is a wonderful time to be alive!

How I live my faith

My favorite way to "live my Faith" is by doing the little things throughout the day that let my Heavenly Father know that I am thinking about Him and that I am committed to following Jesus Christ. Little things include: Daily Family prayer Daily Family scripture study (even if it's only for a few minutes) Family Home Evening - Monday nights Listening to good music Mealtime prayers Preparing for my church calling (Right now I teach the Young Women) Weekly temple attendance (my own personal goal) Being honest and trustworthy at all times Seeking praiseworthy entertainment Being an example of virtue Telling my family that I love them Look for opportunities to serve others Little habits. That's how I live my faith.
