Hi I'm neena

I am the 3rd of 4 sisters, a wife, mother of 6, owner of 2 dogs and 5 chickens. I love learning. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am one of 4 sisters. Our father passed away when I was 11. I have lived in the same place my whole life, though I have traveled much. I love to cook, I can sew though I don't love it as much. I love my neighborhood. I love to try having a garden. I enjoy reading and I like my DVR a little too much. I have 6 kids who are 16 years in the making. We are half done raising them. Meaning we have 3 married and moved out and 3 left. It is amazing to still be in elementary school when our oldest has her 10 year reunion from high school coming up. I think family is the hardest and most rewarding adventure out there.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but I can't recall a time when I didn't know it was true. I remember when my dad passed away and how I felt like things would be ok. I can look back over my life so far and see God's hand in all of it. I have felt His love and blessing and guidance all my life. I have read the Book of Mormon many times and know it is a true book. I have prayed all my life and received many answers and blessings. I guess I know this because I have practiced the teachings of the gospel all my life and have found them to work. In this I don't claim to have had a perfect life just a life that has seen God's hand in undeniable ways.

How I live my faith

I pray daily, read my scriptures and attend institute classes. We go to church on Sunday and our kids go to the youth activities during the week. All our boys have or are now involved in the Boy Scouts which is a great association for young men. I work with the womens group called Relief Society. We are working on a project now to help a group that aids foster children and families in our town. I teach a Sunday lesson about every third month. We have two boys who served church missions, one in Chile and one in Russia. I have seen how their service is serving them as students and husbands. We have family prayer and scriptures and do our best to spend time once a week on Monday night to have a special night of learning or just extra fun together. We attend the temple as often as possible. The blessing of participating in church activities has blessed our family in every way.
