Hi I'm Ashley

I'm a law student. I'm an actress. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am in my last year of law school, and love reading, writing, acting, and singing- and I adore movies! I served a mission for the church for a year and a half in Croatia- and can't wait to go back!

Why I am a Mormon

I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and my Savior, and I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is His church. Doing what Christ wants me to do makes my life so much better. It doesn't mean that I won't have bad times, and when I do, living like the Lord wants me to live always helps me through. I always have an anchor- when there are tough decisions or something is going wrong, I know following the Lord's commandments is always the right thing to do and that gives me incredible peace, the likes of which I haven't found anywhere else. I am a Mormon because of this peace and the knowledge that it comes from the Savior and His church.

How I live my faith

I am part of the presidency for our women's society- my job is to make sure everything goes smoothly during the third hour of church. I also play the organ during the first hour, sing in the choir, and like to go to lessons with the missionaries.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

All men and all women are beloved children of God, and He loves us all equally. Men and women are both encourged to get as much education as they can and all have opportunities to serve in the church. We may have different responsibilities, but that doesn't make one gender better than the other. It means that God knows how to organize things. Show more Show less

What are Mormon Temples used for?

In Temples we make promises with God, and He promises to bless us. We also can be married to the love of our life for time and all eternity- not just this life- and with that comes the promise that our children will be with us throughout eternity as well. Show more Show less
