Hi I'm Aaron

I grew up as a small town Iowa boy. I'm a college student, a runner, a basketball player, a future entrepreneur, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a student at Brigham Young University-Idaho majoring in accounting. I grew up in small town Iowa. I love adventure and trying new things. I play a variety of sports including basketball, running, and ping-pong. I have a growing appreciation and interest in humanities and the arts. I served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in eastern Idaho after high school. I hope to one day start my own business and be involved in community organizations/government.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is truly Christ's Church on the earth today. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it is true. In instances too many to count, I have felt the power of the Holy Ghost tell me it is true. I also know that it is true because I have been blessed with happiness and joy as I lived what The Church teaches. If you want to know if it is true, test it out. I promise you that you never find more peace and joy then by what you can feel when you are living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Being a Mormon is the good life!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by simply trying to act like Jesus Christ. I try to always smile at everyone and make them feel happy. I believe that random and spontaneous acts of kindness are some of the best ways to help others. Helping others shouldn't always be planned and organized. Charity should just be something that is apart of you. I have chosen to spend two years to proclaim that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the Earth. Some may think that this is a big commitment, but when you think about all that Jesus Christ has done for us, it becomes incredibly small. We owe our entire lives to Him. I am currently seeking out those who need and are ready for the Gospel in their lives.. These next two years I will be living my faith by devoting all of my time to Jesus Christ.

In whom should we have faith?

Aaron
We should have complete and full faith in the Savior Jesus Christ. It is possible to have faith in him because he is unchanging and has all power in heaven and earth. He is a perfect being with a fullness of every righteous attribute. Not only is he all of these things, he cares about each and every one of us, so he always fulfills his promises. Christ is the only way back to Heavenly Father, so we have to rely on his grace and mercy through the Atonement that he completed. Faith in ourselves is not enough. We will fail and the only way we can be reconciled back to God is follow the gospel that Jesus Christ set up. This gospel isn't always easy to live in life which is why it takes faith to live it. You have to believe that Christ really did exist and has a plan for you. The more we exercise faith in Christ, the greater our faith grows in him. We will start to see that faith is what gives us happiness in troubled times. Christ didn't just suffer all things for us; he overcame all things. It is this triumph that will allow us to rely on him to make it back to Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
