Hi I'm Eric

I'm a father of four, airline pilot, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints while I was a cadet at the U.S. Air Force Academy. I served for 21 years as a pilot in the Air Force. I am married, have four children, and ten grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

My brother joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints while serving in the U.S. Navy. One summer, he invited me to attend Church meetings with him, where I met other members who became my friends. When I returned to the Air Force Academy to begin my Junior year, I began attending LDS meetings with the cadets who were members. After attending for several weeks, I was invited to take the discussions with the missionaries. During that process, I came to know that what they taught was good, and it would improve my life. I have never regretted that decision, and it has blessed my life immeasurably.

How I live my faith

I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. He is the best example. He "went about doing good," (Acts 10:38) and I try to do the same. I find that I am never happier than when I am being useful to someone else.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

The LDS temples are not a secret, exclusive club. In fact, we invite all to prepare themselves to enter the temple. Every person who wishes to do so may gain entrance to the Lord's house, simply by conforming their lives to the principles and ordinances the Lord Himself established. When a member is prepared, the temple experience will be a blessing in his life, and will strengthen him for the rest of his mortal and eternal journey. And doing so will bring him more happiness than the world can ever offer. Show more Show less
