Hi I'm Malcolm

I am from New Mexico--the "Land of Enchantment" I now live in Denver and work as a facilities manager.

About Me

My wife and I have six children and one grandson to date. I work as a facilities manager. She is in training as an Emergency Medical Tech. We enjoy family time. Some of our favorite DVD's to watch are the BBC mystery movie series called "Foyle's War". The whole family enjoys drama. Every one of the six children have had lead parts in school plays.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There is great joy in feeling right about life and serving in the church. My parents were members of the church. I do not remember a time that I ever doubted the truthfulness of this work. My beliefs have been confirmed and amplified many, many times--over and over again. This is HOME. I have studied and appreciated many other faiths--all of which have confirmed to me that the fullness of the doctrine of Christ is here.

How I live my faith

We live a daily life of drawing near to God. We pray daily to our Father in Heaven in the name or Jesus Christ. Personal prayers twice a day. Family prayer in the morning, at dinner and at night. We read scriptures together nearly every evening--and sometimes sing hymns together. We all love to sing. Each Monday evening is set aside as Family Home Evening. We normally sing, pray, share thoughts and lessons, play games and have treats; but sometimes we do other family activities--like going out to see a Harry Potter movie or to the park to play. We are faithful in attending church meetings. Sunday is a holy day to us--set aside from any other day of the week. On the Lord's day we serve others, attend our ward meetings (3 hours), have family time, etc. We do not take part in any commercial, sporting or recreational activities on Sunday. We feel it an honor to pay out tithing and other offerings. Tithing is 10% of our income. Paying tithing helps me really feel like I am part of the Lord's kingdom. Once a month we fast--skipping two meals--and pay a fast offering to help the poor. My church helps be be a better person, a better man, better husband, better father, better worker, better citizen and better friend.
