Hi I'm Bill

I grew up in Maryland. I'm a professional musician, enjoy the outdoors, and love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a professional musician. I teach piano lessons, record CD's, and play piano whenever I can. I believe that God has blessed me with a talent that I can use to help lift others, and I want to share it with as many people as I can. I am a husband of a fabulous wife, and the father of 2 wonderful daughters who keep me busy. I love helping others. I've been a leader in the Boy Scouts of America, worked with our church's youth, and play piano for a high school choir. I also like learning about other religions, often asking people of other faiths about their beliefs.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church before I was born, but there came a time when I decided to choose for myself. In high school, I read the Book of Mormon in its entirety, one chapter each night. In the last chapter in the Book of Mormon, a promise is given to all who read it, that they can know for themselves if the Book of Mormon is true scripture. I decided to take the challenge. Kneeling at my bedside, I quickly asked God if the Book of Mormon was true, and if Joseph Smith really was a prophet of God who translated it. I distinctly remember a warm and peaceful feeling that slowly came over me and soon filled my entire body. It was nothing overwhelming, no bells & whistles, no angels...just the calm and peaceful reassurance of the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon was in fact true scripture, and that Joseph Smith really was a prophet called by God to translate it. No matter what anyone has ever said to me for or against it, I always look to that prayer and my answer.

How I live my faith

I try my best to follow our Savior's instruction to "Love one another". One of the best ways to live my faith is through serving others. I have worked with our youth group, volunteered in the Boy Scouts, and try to visit certain people on a monthly basis, to ensure their physical and spiritual well-being. When the Savior set His example, and commanded us to follow, I believe that He meant it, so I do my best to do as He would.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

The gospel of Jesus Christ is designed to bring us happiness in this life, and eternal life in the life to come. The missionaries will teach you how to receive those blessings. Show more Show less
