Hi I'm Jolene

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and a mother to three busy boys! I majored in Family Life at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I love to crochet and play piano, and I love making pastries and other baked goodies. I like to try different crafts to create and make new things. I love my family!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon. My parents took us to church every week and taught us how to pray and the importance of reading the scriptures. As I grew and continued to do these things on my own, I gained a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This testimony has helped me through the hardest times in my life and continues to grow as I learn more and live my faith. My faith is the most important part of who I am. It plays a part in every decision I make and in how I choose to live my life. I am a Mormon because I know that the gospel is true. It gives meaning and purpose to my life. I know where I came from. I know why I'm here. I know where I'm going. Heavenly Father has a beautiful plan for each of us. Through this plan, families can be together forever, even after this life on earth has ended. I know that Jesus Christ makes it all possible. I think that without the gospel in my life, I would be lost. I know that if I mess up, I can repent and get back on the right path. Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to return to Him some day. He has given us lots of help and resources to help us along the way. Through prayer we can talk to Him and receive personal revelation through the Holy Ghost. We can learn about the gospel and the teachings of Jesus from the scriptures written by ancient prophets. He also reveals His word to us today through living prophets. We also have temples where sacred ordinances are performed and where families can be sealed together for eternity. I know that our Father in Heaven loves each of His children and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has the fullness of the restored gospel. I know that by being faithful and keeping the commandments we can return to live with Him some day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying and studying the scriptures daily. We also pray as a family and read the scriptures together regularly. The guidance I receive from doing this gives me direction in life and helps me learn more about my Heavenly Father's plan for me. I seek for and try to stay worthy to receive personal revelation. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and I try to follow His example and be more like Him in all that I do. I love to participate and contribute at church, and I have had opportunities to do so by teaching the youth classes and playing the piano for our church choir and in other church meetings.
