Hi I'm Julie Fandel

I grew up in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado in a very large family. I work with wonderful kids all day long and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and mother. I have two grown daughters who light up my life. I have been married to my wonderful husband for many years. I can literally say that he is my best friend. I work at an elementary school as a lunch cashier and then I work and play with kids after school who's parents will pick them up when they get off work. In my spare time I love to play volleyball usually on the church team and in the city leagues. My daughter's have recently moved away from home which have given me and my husband lots of time together. We love to workout and walk together. Trying to live a healthier life style has been our new passion as we get older. When it's time for us to be grandparents, we want to be able to run and play with our grandkids like we did with our own kids in our younger years.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints all my life. Being Mormon has run in my family for 6 generations. I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It's teachings fill my heart and soul to overflowing. The Holy Ghost which was given to me when I was baptized at the age of eight has helped me know the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ with everything that I am. I understand God's love for me and all of his children. I am so thankful for the atonement that my savior Jesus Christ made for me so that I may be able to return to my Heavenly Father someday. The church has taught me to embrace the things that Heavenly Father wants me to do in this life to help me get to the next life. I know without a doubt that I am in the church that Jesus originally set forth upon this earth. I believe that God made Joseph Smith a tool in his hand to bring about this marvelous work of restoring Jesus's church back on the Earth after it was taken away. I love and thank Joseph Smith for his obedience and diligence in doing so. I love the Book of Mormon. It testifies of the truthfulness of the gospel that Jesus wanted the world to know. I read it along with the Bible and other scriptures and each one works in harmony with the other as witnesses of Jesus Christ as our Savior. The divinity of the Book of Mormon is self evident as you read and pray about its message.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and try never to miss. It is so important to be there and learn of our Savior's Atonement and sacrifice that he made for all of us. I love feeling the spirit. I also serve in my church as the Primary chorister. I also love teaching the young kids about Jesus. Our youth are so great and have such great spirits. I think they teach me more sometimes about our Heavenly Father's love than I teach them. I play volleyball on our women's team every year and have such great fun. I embrace the word of wisdom. My friends that aren't members don't understand why I don't drink coffee or alcohol because they all do. I'm happy to tell them that it is because of my beliefs. It's such a healthy choice. Our Heavenly Father has given us the gift of this wonderful mortal body and we should take great care of it.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Julie Fandel
The beauty of the Earth. Have you really looked at the art work of God? Not only is it beautiful above the imagination of man but it is organized. There is a purpose for each beautiful or maybe not so beautiful, in our human eyes, thing that is on this earth. I can only imagine that the universe and worlds without number are the same because He created them too. He has gathered all and created all. Show more Show less
