Hi I'm Annaliese

I'm a Seattle girl living in the South. I'm a freelance editor and stay-at-home mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I studied editing in college and got to work for a book publishing company as an editor. I edited all kinds of books and loved every minute of it. Cookbooks are my favorite. When my husband and I received our first little bundle of joy, I quit my job to be a full-time mom. Now I just edit during nap time and spend most of my time using those cookbooks I edited to create imaginary culinary masterpieces in the play kitchen with my daughter. I also love a good volleyball game, anything outside, and eating cajun food.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom was a single parent who brought all 5 of us kids to church every Sunday and to every church activity. She served faithfully in church callings and lived the gospel in every way. And it made her happy, made our family happy, and made me happy. So before I even understood much about the gospel and prayed about for myself, I wanted to be a Mormon simply because it makes people happy.

How I live my faith

I serve in the Nursery. I love getting to know the littlest members of the Church: playing with them, singing with them, snacking with them, and teaching them the gospel basics.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Annaliese
"Testimony" in church terms is the same as a "testimony" you give in court. It just means you're telling what you know to be true. When I bear my testimony of the gospel, I tell other people things that I've seen, heard, felt, and experienced that lead me to believe the Church is true. Show more Show less
