Hi I'm Ashley

I am a college student studying Math and Statistics. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am studying Math and Statistics in college. I am married to a wonderful man and we enjoy four-wheeling, fishing, and hanging out with our closest friends. We are excited to start our own family to share these experiences with.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this gospel just makes sense to me. Living it brings me joy and peace and helps me to know where I am headed in life. Most of all, it makes me a better person and brings me closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that this Gospel is built on a sure foundation, founded upon the teachings of Jesus Christ. I know Jesus Christ lives and that he watches over this church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by making sure I live in such a way that people know my standards. I hope that by knowing me, they know what I believe. In my church service, I currently teach the children from 18 months to 3 years old. It is amazing how much of the gospel they can grasp at such a young age. They bring joy to me each Sunday as we learn basic gospel principles and do fun activities together.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Ashley
The easiest way is to just start praying to Him daily. Tell Him about your day. what you are concerned about or working toward. Thank Him for anything that happened throughout the day that you feel thankful for. As you begin to do so, you will start to notice his hand in your everyday life. You will come to feel his love and get to know him better. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Ashley
No. We strive to help all who are in our reach and willing to accept our help. Our church is usually one of the first to respond to disasters throughout the world. We send food and supplies upon hearing of the event. Those who are able to dedicate time to help rebuild what may have been destroyed. Personally, through the many organizations in the church, I have been able to help those in need, regardless of religious affiliation. I have gathered school supplies for those in want, I have spent time with other youth shopping for Christmas presents for a family who didn't have the means. My brother collected dental supplies to send with a dentist as he traveled to a struggling country. We want to comfort those that need the comfort and look for ways to help those living on this earth regardless of which denomination they belong to. Show more Show less
