Hi I'm Ann

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and mom to four kids, ages 12-21. I grew up in Oklahoma, but we have lived in St. Louis since 1990. A lot of my time is spent keeping up with my kids and their activities, which vary from lacrosse to drama. I serve in the women's organization in my congregation. I am also a part-time student and a (very) part-time substitute teacher.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 18, my friend Cameron introduced me to the LDS church. Actually, I asked him about the church because another friend told me that I should watch out for "those Mormons" and that made me curious. The things Cameron told me didn't seem that strange, but I was content in my own church. We kept talking though, and I began to feel there was something to what he was saying. I met with the missionaries and learned more about the Church. Eventually, I really wanted to know which church I should belong to, so I prayed and asked Heavenly Father which one was true. The Holy Ghost answered me plainly that the Mormon Church was true. That's really why I am a Mormon - because the Holy Ghost bore witness to me that The Church of Jesus Christ is Latter-day Saints is indeed Christ's restored church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to do the "every day things," like reading scriptures, praying, spending time with my family, and going to church on Sunday. I also love to participate in the meetings we have during the week for the women in the church. I am currently involved in leadership for our congregation's women's organization. I am also preparing to spend a week with our 12-18 year old girls at camp this summer. We will have a crazy-fun time, learn things about camping and self-sufficiency, but most importantly build relationships with our Savior and each other.
