Hi I'm Donelle

I grew up in a small town in Nevada. I'm a published Author. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young single adult. I grew up with my mother most of my life since my father passed away after a car crash when I was ten. I wasn't successful at getting my High School Diploma but have continued my education by going to a community college. I love to write, draw, dance, sing, and act. I love to test the bounds of creativity and see the places I can go that no one else will ever see. I love what my parents taught me and keep to what they have said. I especially understand now that they know much more then I ever did, in many areas.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I felt what the temple was all about at my first open house for one. When I was only nine years old we got to see a temple open house, while walking through it I felt a strong testament that this building was going to be the holiest place on the earth. The temple became my goal, especially after my father's and other family members death after the car crash. I knew that this gospel taught that families could be together forever, that we didn't just separate after this life. When I got to go into the temple, for the first time, my testimony grew stronger in what our Prophet Joseph Smith Jr. had said and taught. It also helped me to understand my Savior better, the plan he had prepared with our Heavenly Father, and the way to be able to get back there. I know that this church speaks truth and that the blessings in the House of the Lord are real and present, as long as we strive to keep what we promised with the Lord.

How I live my faith

I love giving service. I work as a volunteer at the Nevada Humane Society. I enjoy being able to help dogs and cats find loving homes and helping those who adopt them to feel good about the new addition they are taking in. I love to help my neighbors when I can and I also like to help my friends when they are in need. I have a calling in my ward as a temple committee member. I love being able to get others to come to the temple and to help them learn more about their family and background. I enjoy seeing people light up after they have gone to the temple.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

We believe that when we die we go to one of two places. We call these places Spirit Paradise or Spirit Prison. The difference of these places from Heaven and the Underworld is that those from Paradise visit those who are in Prison. We believe that we do not stop working after we die or just get our reward. We believe that we continue to bring others to an understanding of the gospel. We believe that after life after death is real, that this life isn't all there is. We also believe that we who are still living need to help those who have died to continue on by providing them a way. Show more Show less
