Hi I'm Weston

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Work and school. Basically sums up my life, I"m a single 23 year old dude. I like to enjoy life. I'm happy all of the time. Love meeting new people and making new friends. Oh and i'm also a Mormon too.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because... I choose to be. I love the values, lifestyles, and social aspect of it. I love the faith that I have in God and Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by practicing the principles that it teaches. Every Sunday I go to church. I am not only a Sunday saint, but I also try to live up to the teachings through out the week. At church I have the wonderful opportunity to help the newcomers become integrated into our worshiping services. It's awesome to see the strength of the gospel among the college age crowd. I attend a worshiping service that is located by the campus and we are mostly single collage age student. We do events, activities, service projects together.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Weston
Hahaha, that's a funny question. It may appear that all Mormons are required to serve missions but the definitely are not. All young men who are Priesthood holders in the church are generally admonished to serve the Lord by going on a mission. It is seen as a wonderful blessing to be called as a missionary and also a duty of the Priesthood. Girls too can go out as missionaries but they are only encouraged to go if they want to. Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Weston
Yes, simply stated. I believe that God still speaks today. Just because Jesus came and saved us through the Atonement doesn't mean that God doesn't care about us anymore. It seems reasonable that God would call Prophets again in these days to help us draw nearer to him. Christ is the head of his church, and therefore he must direct it. How would it be possible to have Christ's church without him directing it? That's what I believe is the Prophet's sole purpose, he is guided by revelation through the holy spirit and angles to speak God's words unto us today, to help us to follow what Jesus would do.
