Hi I'm Whitney

I grew up in Utah. I love learning and my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the mother of one beautiful little girl, I love my husband, I like to read, play piano, spend time with family and friends, sew, cook, do crafts, play racquetball, and go walking. I like to consider myself educated, but I know there is still a lot more to learn in this world and the next, and I'm excited about that.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church, but being exposed to something all your life is not a guarantee that you believe it or that you will automatically follow it. I am a Mormon because firstly, I know it is true, but secondly, because I love the teachings of the gospel so much that I would never want to believe anything else. Knowing that my savior died for me and was resurrected gives me hope and peace when I am having a hard time. I am so grateful to know that I can be with my family forever. My family is the most important thing I have in this world, and without them my life would be much less wonderful. I know that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and that he was their instrument to bring this gospel back to the Earth after the apostasy. I know the Book of Mormon is true, and that it will lead us back to our heavenly home. I know that we are all children of God, regardless of age, race, sex, etc., and that he loves everyone, even when we do things he wishes we wouldn't. He wants us to come back to live with him, and he will help us get there if we will let him and accept the atonement. Knowing these things makes my life richer and more meaningful than it could ever be otherwise. I love the gospel, and I want to share it.

How I live my faith

I am a visiting teacher, which means that I am assigned sisters in the ward to visit every month. But not only that, I am there to help them with things they need and to feed them spiritually. I also work in the Primary, where I play piano during singing time, which is when the children do fun activities and learn songs that teach about our faith. I also go to monthly meetings with the sisters in our ward, and occasional ward activities, where we socialize and get to know each other better, along with being spiritually fed. I do my best to be a good wife and mother, and I try to help those around me .
