Hi I'm Sarah

I am a photographer, mom and web designer. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of five, college graduate (in music). I love music, playing games, reading and laughing, serving in the church and mostly being with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a mormon, I had wonderful parents who taught me how to be happy. It was an easy choice for the, the church always made sense to me. The teachings were a natural part of my life that we have a living prophet, modern revelation, the answers of why we are here, and the knowledge that I can get answers to prayer but most of all that I can live forever with my family. This knowledge is invaluable to me.

How I live my faith

To some serving in the church may seem a big commitment, but we are all helping each other. I am a visiting teacher. I am assigned women in the church 3 or 4 and, with a companion, we visit them every month, give them a short lesson and find out if they need any thing. I am also visited every month and call my visiting teachers if I need help. I also have a different calling assignment as a Stake Primary Councilor. I help oversee and help leaders with the children in 7 different wards congregations. I love this calling and being able to visit the classes of all the children in my area. Serving in the church has brought many blessings to my life.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

I LOVE being a mormon woman. There are lots of questions about "equality" in the church since women do not have the priesthood. They can not become a bishop or a prophet. This may bother some people but not me. Mostly because, although some hate to admit it, men and woman ARE different. Isn't that a wonderful thing. My husband and I each have our own rolls. Both are service roles, he serves by giving blessings to the sick, baptizing, running church affairs and supporting our family. I teach in the church, organize activities, and raise my children the best I can. We work as a great team, neither more important than the other and both serving everywhere we can. What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Although many think the Mormon lifestyle is strange and restrictive, it is exactly the opposite. Because we don't smoke or drink we have freedoms that others don't. We are healthy and strong and avoid addictions (not to mention saving money). Our lifestyle is healthy and fun. We happily serve in the church and serve our family and friends. We pray and read scriptures daily, try to be our best and enjoy life to it's fullest. Show more Show less
