Hi I'm Patricia

I'm an Early Childhood Educator, Legal Secretary, Wife and Mother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have a two year old son. I love being outdoors and the simple things in life. I love to play the piano and sing. My favourite thing to do is play with and cuddle my son.

Why I am a Mormon

I always believed in God but didn't go to a church. When I was a teen I felt something was missing from my life. I decided I really wanted to find out more about God. I prayed to God and asked him which church I should join. Within a couple of weeks, missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints knocked on my door. When I met them I felt an amazing love and peace. I knew what they were saying was true and from God. I felt that I already knew everything they taught me, and yet I had not heard it before. I prayed to know if it was true. I knew it was. I loved that the Missionaries said that each person could find out for themselves if what they were teaching was true. I found out for myself that it was God that brought them to my door. This was the path He wanted me to take. My life has definitely not been easy, but I know that my Heavenly Father is there, that He loves me, that He knows my name and knows my strengths and weaknesses and loves me anyway. I can't imagine where I would be if I didn't join this church. I would still be a good person, but I have to say, this church has only brought me good things. My greatest joys have been from being baptised. I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! I could go on and on...

How I live my faith

I teach the 5 to 8 year old children in my church. I prepare a simple lesson each Sunday for the children. I love to do this. I also visit a few ladies in my church once a month at their homes. This is to teach a lesson, find out if there is anything I can do to help them but mainly to communicate love and concern to them. I have found these activities very rewarding because they help me to focus on others.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

I believe that my family has the opportunity to be together forever. This means more than just "to death do you part". My family provides the greatest joy in my life. I cannot imagine being without them. I know I will live again after this life. Therefore, why would I want to live and yet not be with my family? It just makes so much sense to me. I love that my family can be together forever! Show more Show less
