Hi I'm Jeff

I'm an engineer, an outdoor sports enthusiast and a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a doctoral candidate in mechanical engineering. I love to get outside (as much as my studies allow!) and play sports, water ski, snow ski and mountain bike. I own a Jeep and a dirt bike and enjoy the places they can take me.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel that every sincere seeker of truth will find it, if he/she searches and has an open heart and mind. There are many societies with truths, but I have found the only place with all truth is the Church of Jesus Christ. God is the source of truth and He established His church here on earth and sends guidance through a prophet. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true because the Source of truth leads it, and that's why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I do my best to help those around me. If I notice someone without a friend, I'll do what I can to get to know them, to learn their story, and be a friend. I try to share what has helped me the most (which are the teachings of Jesus Christ) with anyone who wants to know or needs the help. For church service, I lead an hour discussion once a month with the men in attendance focusing on a topic outlined by our presiding church officers. Outside of worship services, I try my best to do what Jesus Christ would do.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Of course not! We worship God the Father and Jesus Christ, His Son. Joseph Smith was chosen and called by God to restore the church that Christ led when He was on earth. Revelation was also given through the Prophet Joseph Smith to restore truths in the gospel that were lost during the time after Christ and 1820. We revere Joseph Smith and will always be grateful for his service as God's tool in restoring truth to the earth. Show more Show less
