Hi I'm Pauline

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I am Pauline I'm a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. I'm a Mormon. I'm a wife of 44 years and mother of three children (two daughters and a son) and ten adorable grandchildren. We moved from the east coast to Utah several years ago. I enjoy filling my time with indexing, family history work and working in the temple as an ordinance worker. I love to watch and attend my grandchildren's sports events and school activities. They are the joy of my life!

Why I am a Mormon

Unknowingly, my conversion to the gospel began in the fall of 1969, one of the worst days of my life. My 15 year old brother was killed in an automobile accident. (I am the fourth child in a family of thirteen.) He was the first of our family to die, very difficult time for our family. I was of the Methodist faith where I attended church often; I had a strong belief in God. In March 1975, I lost a second brother who was 21 years old in an automobile accident (six years from my first brother’s death); I began to have many questions about death and the dead. I was taught that when you die you either went to heaven or hell and that was it. In August 1978, my 28 year old sister died, I had many questions about the dead that no one could answer. The following Monday, after my sister was buried, I attended a revival held at the Methodist church. Upon my return home that even, I went to our bookcase to get the bible, I notice a Book of Mormon, I had never heard of this book before, I was puzzled, but never mentioned it to my husband. The following Tuesday night about 9:30 pm, two young men knocked on our door and we let them in, they told us who they were and showed us the Book of Mormon. My questions about the dead was answered. My husband and I were baptized September 30, 1978. I knew the Book of Mormon was the word of God even before I read it, the Spirit bore witness to me, I could never ever deny the truthfulness of this book no matter what. That's why I am Mormon and will forever be Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by daily reading and studying the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon has been a blessing in my life. I live my faith by serving and loving the sisters in my ward, my neighbors and my extended family which has blessed my life, as recorded in the scripture found the Book of Mormon in Mosiah 2:17 "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom, that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." This is the desires of my heart to know that when I am serving my fellow beings, I am serving my God. Each Sunday I partake of the sacrament as a reminder of Jesus Christ's great atoning sacrifice. He gave His life to atone for the sins of all mankind, of this I am beyond grateful.
