Hi I'm Tad

I'm a family man, they are everything to me. I love sports and the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The most important thing in my life is my family. I have a beautiful wife and 4 amazing children! We are blessed to have the opportunity to be able to spend a lot of time together. I also love being outdoors. I really enjoy hunting. Through camping and hunting I have been able to spend a lot of quality time with those who I admire. Being outdoors also allows me to see and experience first hand how beautiful this world is. It reaffirms what I already know, that God does exist and that he is aware of me and my needs. I feel closer to my Heavenly Father when I am alone in the mountains.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in Utah is an interesting experience and probably much different than growing up in other places. Most of my family is LDS, but not all are active members of the church. I was taught by the LDS missionaries and accepted to be baptized on my own. Growing up my Mom was the only one who attended church and as I grew older I was attending less and less. I guess you can say I reached a fork in the road. I began reading... REALLY reading the scriptures. Praying to a Father in Heaven about what he wanted me to do with my life. Asking sincerely about the things that I had been taught all my life. Wanting to know for myself if they were true. The Holy Ghost confirmed to me many time through out my life that they are true. It was then I truly gained a personal testimony about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Since then I have been the happiest I have ever been. Of course I have had rough patches, we all do. But the foundation has been laid and the principles have been taught to help me to continue to grow. Why am I a Mormon? Well I guess it is because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is truly our Saviors restored church. Through the teachings and ordinances of the gospel I know I can return with my family to live with a loving Heavenly Father. Because of this knowledge I am happy. That is what it comes down to for me, happiness.

How I live my faith

Well being a Mormon isn't easy. My guess is others would say the same thing. Accepting the gospel is truly accepting a lifestyle. I do not smoke or drink. I do my best to keep the Sabbath day holy. We attend 3 hours of church meetings every week. Which with 4 young kids can be difficult trying to get them to behave for 3 hours, but worth it. I help teach the young men. I also am involved in the scouting program. Which is great! We have some really great kids. Its great see how they live the gospel at such an early age. They teach me more than I teach them. I also am a home teacher. We are encouraged to meet with other families in their homes to teach a lesson each month. This allows me to get to know my neighbors and to provide aid when needed. I believe The gospel of Jesus Christ is centered around the home. This is where I try to live my faith. By teaching my children how to pray. By reading scriptures personally and as a family. Trying myself and helping my kids be more like our Savior helps us live happier more fulfilling lives.
