Hi I'm Kate

I grew up in a family of 10 kids. Yep, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to travel! My family has been to nearly all 50 states. My parents love history so we have visited a lot of historical sites and monuments. I served a full time mission for the church in Atlanta, Georgia. I got married shortly after returning home and am eager to become a mother. I love animals and nature. I LOVE being outdoors and doing anything active. I love to longboard and to ski. I love sharing the Gospel and helping people find and experience joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My parents had me in Young Womens and Seminary in my youth. I was pretty obedient and did as they asked- I believed the church was true...but I never really knew for myself. After highschool I moved out and lived on my own with some girls I had never met. I was hit with the question, "How do you KNOW the church is true? Do you really KNOW the Book of Mormon is true?" I thought about that question over and over again. I truly began to question my faith and I realized that I just believed it because my parents had taught it to me... And it wasn't until that point that I really had to step away and gain my own testimony- rather than relying on my parents'. I felt that if I was not in Jesus Christ's true church today then I needed to make major changes in my life- and I wanted to know as soon as the Lord would tell me. I began to search the Book of Mormon and study the words of the living prophets and apostles. Through much fasting and prayer, I began to recognize miracles that had happened in my life that came because I had been living the Gospel. I realized that after I read the Book of Mormon each day, that I wanted to be a better person; that I was much happier and strived to follow the Savior's perfect example. I felt great peace and comfort each time someone would bear testimony of the Gospel...and better yet, after this long trial of faith, I stood up in Testimony meeting to share what I believed- and as I did so, I felt a rush of the spirit fill my entire soul. I knew in that moment that the Church of Jesus Christ was true and that what I had been learning and living my whole life was exactly what Heavenly Father had placed me here to do.

How I live my faith

I am so grateful to be a full time Missionary for the church! I am currently serving in the Georgia Atlanta Mission. It is incredible to litterally live my faith every moment of every day. We wake up to the Lord, study the Gospel for two hours, and then spend about 11 hours finding and teaching people how they can come closer to Christ. It is the MOST AMAZING LIFE!
