Hi I'm Karen

I am a wife and mother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of 3 great kids! I find my greatest joys in my children and my husband. I sometimes find it funny that being a mom is the first and foremost thing I use to describe myself. My children are 21, 19 and 16 and yet I don't feel as if I am done with my mothering. I have my 90 yr old Grandma living with me and it has been such a blessing in our home. Our life is a busy, chaotic one that I wouldn't trade for anything.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings me peace. I know why I am here on this earth, what I am supposed to do, and where I am going. I find peace and comfort in just knowing these things. I also know I am a child of a loving Heavenly Father who wants the best for me and is willing to help me if I just ask. I am a big believer in obedience, I know I am blessed when I obey the commandments, I know that no matter how hard my life is, it would be worse without the comfort and peace obedience brings.

How I live my faith

For most of my adult life I have had a calling in my ward, mostly teaching the teen girls in Young Womens. I realized while teaching these precious girls that the keys to living my faith or for anyone were: Prayer - everyday Read Scriptures - everyday - it helps if you learn to study them, the Bible, the Book of Mormon, Doctrine & Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price. Obey - meaning obey the commandments given in scripture both Old and New Testament. Follow the counsel of the Prophets. Try to follow the path that Jesus showed us. These things help me to be kind, patient, loving and teach me about Jesus Christ. That makes me happy!
