Hi I'm Emily

I am a mother of three wonderful children. I am a do-it-yourself-er. I take lots of pictures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I keep busy watching my 3 amazing children grow. I take as many pictures of them as I can and I love learning about photography. I enjoy managing our home. Baking bread is one of my specialties. My marriage and family are my most precious gems.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it sweetens every area of my life. First and foremost I have come to know the Savior Jesus Christ and I understand my relationship with Him. His gospel has taught me that my life has a purpose. Living the gospel deepens my family relationships and teaches me how those relationships are meant to last forever, even after we die. I have heard some say that the standards we live are restrictive, but I truly see the commandments that we are given as a recipe for happiness. As I look back through my life I can see how my obedience to the commandments has helped me avoid much heartache and sorrow through living a clean and virtuous life. I have confidence that the future will be just as fulfilling as I try my best to live the commandments. I do not claim to live a perfect life, but with the teachings of the gospel I feel extremely fulfilled in my roles as wife and mother. I have also benefited greatly from my social interactions with other members of The Church. It is such a blessing to move to a brand new area and instantly find a group of moms that have the same values and similar interests as I do. It is also a huge blessing to my children to have friends with similar standards. The Church of Jesus Christ truly enriches every aspect of my life. I view my membership in the Church as my most precious possession. Sharing that joy with others is sometimes scary for me because I feel like there is so much at stake. I also never want to seem too pushy. But at the same time I view what I have with such passion that I just have to share it.

How I live my faith

My faith is at the center of my life and my family culture. I strive to teach my children to be Christlike and to be a light to everyone around us. As a member of the church I have had many opportunities to teach other children and plan regular activities to strengthen their faith. I also love the opportunity to reach out to people in need with the support of our women's organization.
