Hi I'm Luisa

I'm a wife, a mother, and a writer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married, and my husband and I have six children. I'm also a writer. I love reading, cooking, gardening, knitting, and above all spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the Church all my life, but in my late teens, I became truly converted. I know that Jesus is the Christ, that He lives today, and that He loves each one of us more than we can know. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and that through inspiration, he translated The Book of Mormon from ancient records. This knowledge is a tremendous blessing to me and to my family.

How I live my faith

My first priority is our family's spiritual life, but I love serving in our congregation. I am the Director of the Family History Center in our area, and I find great joy in helping others discover their ancestral roots and heritage.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Luisa
Mormon women are a diverse group, but are united in their faith in Christ and their commitment to living His teachings. The Mormon women I know and I know many are strong, compassionate, curious, diligent, kind, and positive. Of course, we are very far from perfect, but we find great hope in the message Jesus repeated over and over: "Come follow me, and find rest." Mormons believe that men and women stand side by side before God, and that He loves all of His children. My husband and I are equal partners in our relationship and in the stewardship we share over our children. Show more Show less
