Hi I'm Hannah.

I'm a violin playing, chemistry loving college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated with my bachelor's degree in Chemistry and am about to start medical school at the end of this summer. I love research as well as teaching and hope to someday be a professor at a medical college. Besides science, I also love music. I've been playing violin for ten years now and am in my university's orchestra. Tchaikovsky is probably my favorite composer but I also enjoy the works of Beethoven, Bach, Dvorak and Brahms.Additionally, I love reading. The Lord of the Rings is one of my favorite books. I also enjoy the works of Jane Austen, C.S. Lewis, the Bronte sisters, Victor Hugo, and Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know it is true. It brings me happiness and makes me want to be a better person. Living the gospel changes me for the better.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping others. I also live my faith by spending time with and learning to show love and appreciation for my family. I attend my church meetings and a special weekly class for college students known as institute so I will be better prepared to serve others and be able to grow closer to my Savior.

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

There are many people who have gone through life without the chance to even hear the gospel, much less be baptized. However, we believe that they will have the chance to accept or reject the gospel of Jesus Christ after they have died. In order for them to be baptized after they have passed on, proxy baptism is necessary. The dead can choose to accept or reject that baptism done in their behalf. Baptism is an essential saving ordinance, and God has provided a way that all might have the chance to be baptized. Show more Show less
