Hi I'm Cecily

I am a wife, a mother of 2, and a nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have a son and a daughter. I also work part time as a pediatric nurse at a hospital in my city. I love to read and spend time with my family. I am currently learning how to sew and trying to expand my talents in that direction.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I was 13 years old. One of my friends from school invited me to an activity and I immediately knew I wanted to know more. I took the missionary lessons, read the scriptures and prayed about all that I learned and to know if the church was true. I recieved that confirmation and was baptized. I grew up as the only member in my family. My parents thought it was a phase that I would grow out of. I never did. I attended seminary at 6am every morning in high school with no pressure from my family. I continued to attend Institute classes when I went on to college. I know that the Gospel is true. I know that Jesus Christ is our savior and that he died for our sins. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that Thomas Monson is a prophet of God.

How I live my faith

I have served in many callings in the church throughout my life. I served in many youth leadership callings including seminary president when I was a Senior. I am currently a visiting teaching supervisor which means i check in on women in our ward to make sure we've gone and visited others to see see if they need help and to fellowship with. I am also currently the nurse for girl's camp, which is a week long camp for girls ages 12-18.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Cecily
No. We believe that Joseph Smith was called by God to be a prophet to bring about the restored Gospel. We worship Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
