Hi I'm Doug

I grew up in Utah. I'm a husband and father. I was a weather officer in the Air Force. I'm a retired accountant. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like doing family history research. I play raquetball. My wife & like to ride bikes and walk in the park reserve. We have four children and twelve grandchildren. I retired from General Mills in 2001, where I worked as a tax accountant.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family, but when I served a mission in Germany I received an unquestionable witness through the Holy Ghost that the gospel of Jesus Christ that we were teaching the German people was true. I have not wavered from faithful activity in the Church ever since. The gospel of Jesus Christ gives me hope that I can be forgiven of my sins, improve and grow and return to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and my family in the celestial kingdom one day.

How I live my faith

I love my wife and treat her with kindness and respect; the same with my children. I help others where I can. My wife and I volunteer in the bishops' storehouse twice a week, helping people fill orders for food and other necessities. I volunteer as a temple worker once a week. I often go to Feed My Starving Children, in Coon Rapids, MN, and help fill packets of rice, vegetables, and soy protein to be sent to partner organizations to feed hungry children and their families. I do family history and temple work for my ancestors, so they can have the same blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ that I enjoy.
