Hi I'm Mark

I love my life. I'm serving a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am missionary in the Utah Ogden Mission. I was studying nursing before my mission. I love sports and doing carpentry work.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it helps me feel peace in my life. It helps me focus on the basics of life, family, friends, and service to others. I was away from the church for about 4 years during high school and part of college. But ever since the missionaries invited me back to church, I haven't left. There is no place like home and church feels like home. The people are always warm and friendly and I can feel Heavenly Fathers love when I follow His Son Jesus Christ. I know what it is like to live inside the church and outside the church. I know that being outside the church I felt insecure, uncertain, alone and constantly searching for something. I found what I was looking for. It is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The greatest joy I have been able to experience is in striving to be more like my Savior, Jesus Christ. I invite all to learn more about and follow Christ, it is the only way to lasting peace and happiness.

How I live my faith

I enjoy providing service to my neighbors and my family. I look for opportunities to serve each day. When I go to bed at night I truly rest in peace knowing that I made someone's life a little bit easier. I enjoy doing things at the church for my fellow members, whether it is helping to clean the building, or setting up for a social event, or delivering food to a fellow member who is in need. Serving others is the greatest source of joy in my life.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I have personally gone beyond belief, through prayer and scripture study, I have learned for myself, independent of anyone else, that Jesus Christ is exactly who the Scriptures say He is. He is the way, the truth and the life ( John 14). He is our Savior, He suffered all the pains and hardships that we would face. He did that because of His love for us. He is the one I turn to when I need comfort and strength. I know that through Christ we can overcome all our sins and our trials. I know that Christ lives today, He is guiding this Church through a prophet. I know we have a living church and a living prophet because our Savior lives and one day we will live with Him, forever.
