Hi I'm Gavin

I'm a Mormon. and I love to Ski

About Me

I just graduated from college and am getting ready to apply to grad school, my wife and I recently bought our first home. We love to travel. my favorite pastime is skiing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed to Heavenly Father and asked if this church is true, and I have received countless confirmations year after year that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is a full-time job, people who know me typically know that I am a Mormon, they know this because my faith helps guide nearly every decision I make in the day and this helps me to have a strong moral compass.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a member of the church is like being part of a wonderful and huge family. No family is perfect and neither are the members of the church but there is always another member of the church that you can lean on when you need support and there is always someone in the church who is willing to share a laugh or just listen if you need to talk. Like a family the members of the church really love each other, because we are all brothers and sisters in the gospel. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about family?

Family is central to God's plan for his children on the earth, a happy family is in my opinion as close as we can get to heaven in this life. In the Mormon church we are taught that families can be together forever, this means that death will not separate a family. At a Mormon wedding you will never hear the phrase "till death do you part" because family extends beyond death. Show more Show less
