Hi I'm Christopher Miklya

I am a student. I love drumming, drum and bugle corp., I love to sing. And I love music, I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a student. I am going for my A.A. and A.F.A. Associate in Fine Arts in Music Degree. I love to sing with the Minnesota Mormon Choral. I also love to compose small pieces on the piano. I love to drum with my spare time and write percussion arrangements for drumlines. I marched with the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corp. from LaCrosse, Wisconsin. and I tend to march with Minnesota Brass Drum and Bugle Corp. sometime. I love going to see all sporting events Pro or College. I plan on being a music teacher, music therapist, or a composer for film scores. I am very happily married to a beautiful woman who loves the gospel just as much as I do. I am looking forward to being a father of a baby boy in June of 2012. Oh! I love to cook and bake things. I love food!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a member of the church, but everyone in the church has a story as to truly why they are a member kind of like their own conversion story. Mine was when I became a Missionary in 1999. I was in the MTC (Missionary Training Center) in Provo. I love the gospel of the church, I love the teachings and the joy that it brings to my life. When I was a Missionary I was able to see the joy and happiness that the true gospel of the church brought to the new members that I brought into the chruch. I love the church because of the simplicity of the teachings, and the joy that I feel when I live the gospel every day. I love the feelings that I have when I hear the prophet and his living apostles speak during General Conference. I know that when I do good I am awarded for my good choices. I love the feelings that I get when I can be of service to strangers, family, and friends. My testimony is very simple. I know that my Savior Jesus Christ has done more than I could ever ask him to. I know that he has bleed for me and that he loves me even when I am not perfect. I know that I can trust him to comfort me and help me out in my school work every semester if I pray. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet who was called to us in these latter days. I know that his sacrifice for everything was not in vain. This gospel is true in every aspect of the teachings and what we live.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by my callings in the church, I am a teacher in the primary with my wife and teach the 7-8 year olds. I am the ward music choruster in our ward. I also sing with the Minnesota Mormon Choral and love serving in that way. I am preparing to be a father soon so I am learning alot about how to have more faith (my wife helps me out with that :) ). I love help teaching the 7-8 year olds with my wife, they teach my wife and I to have patience and love. I also love to help out the Missionaries in anyway that I can, because they are the ones who really work hard to bring the gospel to all who are seeking the truth. I also do my best to be a friend to those at school who need a friend or to those on the street. I really live my faith by my music and by being the best I can every day.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Christopher Miklya
We believe that the family is the center of our religion. We believe that families don't just seperate after death, but are forever and can live forever even after death. That we will be reunited with them. And that a marriage is also not just till death do you part, but is an everlasting and eternal joy for an eternity. Show more Show less
