Hi I'm Alejandro

I was born and raised in México, I am a Designer, Photographer and a Sailor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am designer and a photographer, I help people express their thoughts and ideas. I feel a great sense of accomplishment when I am able to distill a message into its simplest and purest form. Design is an integral part of my life. I appreciate it in everything I see; whether it is a beautifully crafted product or a stunning seascape, I marvel at the thought and effort that goes into creating simple, functional and beautiful things. I have a passion for modern technology and the way it allows us to do so many things that not too long ago were just far out science fiction dreams. It's amazing to me that I can do things in my home studio that not too long ago required a whole team of people and millions of dollars to accomplish. I love the sea. I love the water. There are few things that bring me more joy than sailing and diving into clear blue waters. I love cruising through the water without the sound of a motor, just the waves and the wind… Best of all, I am a husband and a father. I share my life with my four best friends: My beautiful wife, my son and my two lovely daughters.

Why I am a Mormon

Perspective. I am not talking about the vanishing point perspective but rather about the fact that the gospel helps me to see things clearly, it helps me to understand things as they are and it gives meaning to everything around me. It put things into a context that helps me focus on more important things than I would otherwise focus on. It's enlightening. The things that I have learned are nothing short of astounding. The deeper I seek the more things make sense, the clearer things get. The amount of knowledge to be learned is only limited by my desire to know, and the principles and lessons learned apply to ALL aspects of my life, not just spiritual and religious but everything from my family relations to my professional aspirations. It makes me whole. The gospel comforts and heals me. It give me hope. When things don't work as expected, when there are disappointments, when things appear to have no solution; there is always a kind word, a thoughtful act — The atoning power of the Savior makes me whole. It makes me happy. The Lord knows us. He loves us. Just like I want more than anything that my children and family are happy and safe, I know that I am His child and His family and he wants me to be happy and safe. The gospel gives me the knowledge and the way to achieve this happiness. I have tasted his goodness, I know the way. It makes me happy.

How I live my faith

There are so many opportunities to serve one another. It is when we do things for others that the power of God is made manifest. I enjoy doing things for others whenever I can. My responsibility in the church is to help people learn all about the gospel. I work closely with the missionaries and help them find people that are interested in the church and help teach them and make them feel welcome. I really enjoy explaining the message of the gospel to them.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

The temple is a very special place for us, it is a place where we make covenants or promises with the Lord and he give us wonderful blessings. There is nothing secret about the temple, in fact, we would love for everyone to come inside with us — we invite all to join us in this most wonderful experience. All you have to do is prepare yourself, make and keep certain commitments and follow the example of the Savior. The temple is not secret, it is sacred. Show more Show less
