Hi I'm Alan

I am a lawyer in a small town in Arkansas. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married with 4 great boys. I enjoy vacations and getting together with the extended family. I also like playing, coaching and watching the boys play soccer. I spent 2 years in South Africa as a missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

Both my parents were Mormon, so I was raised with LDS values. As a young adult I learned for myself that God hears and answers prayers when he answered my prayers about the authenticity of the Book of Mormon and the path I was to take. I believe my faith has made me a better person and helps me today to be a better father, husband and neighbor.

How I live my faith

I attend church in Arkadelphia, and am assigned to work with kids ages 8-11 in planning bi-monthly Wednesday night activities that are both fun and enriching.

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

Alan
To ensure that all children of our Heavenly Father have to option to partake of the blessings of Jesus Christ's atonement, if they so desire. It is also an opportunity for us to turn our hearts to our ancestors, and be reminded of the infinite grace of Christ's atonement, which applies even to those who lived and died without ever hearing of Jesus Christ.
