Hi I'm Grant

I grew up in California.

About Me

I am a college student studying accounting. I have been married for almost 2 years now. I have one semester left before I graduate. I enjoy riding my motorcycle, being in the outdoors, working on my personal fitness, and spending time with my wife.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because my faith continues to grow as I try my best to live what the Prophet and Apostles teach. It is through these teachings which are ultimately the teachings of Christ that have led me to find peace and joy in my life. In the world we live in today there is a lot of concerning things going on all around us. Knowing and having a personal relationship with my Savior Jesus Christ has helped me to find an anchor in these times of shifting values.

How I live my faith

In the LDS church I have had many opportunities to take part and help others. At one point I was a teacher of a Sunday school class. Each week I would take some time to sit down and prepare meaningful discussions on Gospel related topics with a group of members from the congregation.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Grant
In the Mormon church one of our fundamental beliefs is that our bodies are gifts from God. Sometimes we refer to them as temples. As a result of this teaching we believe that we should abstain from substances that would harm our bodies. We also believe in keeping our bodies healthy and strong by eating a variety of foods such as fruits, vegetables, grains, etc. As for each of these different food groups we also believe in moderating how much we eat of any one of them.
