Hi I'm Jordan

I'm a Mormon. I believe in Christ, and I believe in families.

About Me

I am a computer and science guy. My favorite hobby is fixing things, be they computers, chairs, tables, doors, houses, or sometimes even my car. I enjoy my full-time job keeping the computer systems running at a high-school, and I am studying in the evenings to get my first degree in computers. I am just about to make the transition from being single to being married, and I am looking forward to beginning my life with my loving partner.

Why I am a Mormon

I really enjoy learning about the sciences and the laws and intricacies of nature. I know that God is real because of how everything fits together and makes such a wonderful whole. As a Mormon, I know about His plan for me. I know that everything is this world was created by a loving Heavenly Father, and that I, as one of His sons, can one day understand and appreciate every aspect of nature and of the cosmos. Today's science, separated from true religion, is either depressing or prideful. Some depict the human race as insignificant to the Universe or damaging to our planet, while others hold our species as the grandest and most important form of life. I know that I am a son of God. I know that this life is but a speck of my existence, and I know that God loves me and that he loves all of His children and all of His creations.

How I live my faith

I am sometimes described as a faithful worker in my local church unit. I offer my skills with audio and visual systems to make certain that the microphones are set up on Sundays and that the projector is working during broadcasts and church movie nights, and I try to always be at activities early to help set up tables, chairs, and decorations. I enjoy sharing my talents to help others.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

We believe that the family is ordained of God and that only in families can we receive the greatest joys. Can you imagine God being unhappy? Of course not! God our Father and Jesus Christ, His son, are the greatest example of joy and happiness. And we call Him Father. He truly is our Father, and it is in our own families that we can know the joy that He feels. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Of course not! Mormons believe in being Christ-like. That is that we believe in serving absolutely everyone. Just as Christ lived his life serving Jew, Samaritan, Greek, and Gentile and died that ALL may live, so we believe in serving everyone that we can and in being a friend to all we meet.
