Hi I'm Adon

I love canoeing, camping, and playing Euro-style board games with my family. I'm a dentist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wonderful wife and seven great kids that I love to spend time with. We enjoy camping on the North Shore of Lake Superior, and canoeing and camping in the Boundary Waters whenever I can take time off from my job as a dentist. I love to read, play the accordion, hike, go on outings with my family, and play Euro-styleboard games. I love Lego and am jealous that my kids have more time to build with them than I do!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it anchors my family and I on a solid foundation of truth in the midst of an increasingly troubled and morally adrift world. I have a testimony that Jesus Christ still leads His Church today, as he did anciently, and that He still speaks to living prophets who help guide us in these times. I know our Heavenly Father loves us and cares about us. Perhaps more than anything, my many readings of the Book of Mormon convince me time and time again that it is true and that it has been written for us in our day. I am firm in my belief that Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, appeared to the boy, Joseph Smith, in the year 1820, and so began to restore the Church of Jesus Christ to the earth. In short, I am a Mormon because the Spirit of the Lord has borne witness to my heart of the truthfulness of the doctrine and teachings found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

Although I am far from perfect, I strive to follow Jesus Christ by living His commandments, being a good neighbor and friend, and raising my children to have compassion for others and respect for themselves and all people.
