Hi I'm Alyce

I'm a nurse, a mother of twins, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for over four years to a wonderful man who sweeps me off my feet! Until recently I worked part-time as a nurse in a hospital. I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my new boy and girl twins, being outdoors, photography, and reading a good book. My husband and I love to travel, and we have a goal to visit all of the national parks in Utah someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ loves me and wants me to be happy in life. This church shows me the way to happiness, and how to find truth that will lead me back to my Heavenly Father. I find so much comfort and guidance in reading the Book of Mormon and following the teachings of Christ found in the doctrine of His church.

How I live my faith

I am blessed to serve in the Relief Society, the women's organization in the Church. I also try to find opportunities to serve my neighbors and friends when I notice their needs.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

I am so glad to be a Mormon woman. I feel so much respect and love from my husband and I know that he views me as an equal. We do not believe that one is above another, but that each gender has specific gifts and ablilties that complement one another. I have never felt less important in the church because I am female. I have had many opportunities to lead in the church. Each person in the church has talents to share and we all can serve one another. Show more Show less

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Having the gift of the Holy Ghost, or the Spirit, has been such a blessing to me. The Holy Ghost has helped me to make some very important decisions, like what to study in college, whether or not to be a missionary, and whom to marry. I have also received comfort in times of sorrow and those peaceful feelings are unmistakably from God. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

God is our father, and he loves each of his children. He is perfect and all powerful. He knows each of us and wants us to be happy and return to him. Show more Show less
