Hi I'm Terra

I joined the church when I was 21. I am nurse, a wife and a mother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother. Those are my most important and cherished roles. I also like to read and blog and visit new places. My husband is in the Navy so we move a lot and get to meet lots of different people. I went to college and became a nurse, but now instead of being a nurse in a hospital, I get to be a nurse to my beautiful children in my own home. Its my favorite job.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of His church because in all my growing up and college years, I had so many questions that didn't seem to have any answers until I learned more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I had a yearning that I didn't even realize was there until I went to college and felt like this world needed to mean more. As I learned more about the church over the many years that I met with the missionaries, answers to my many questions were provided and I felt a deep sense of peace that what I was learning was right. My family was not happy about my decision to get baptized but I knew that I had felt the Spirit and gained a testimony of what Joseph Smith saw in that grove of trees. It has blessed my life every single day since.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in all I do. I truly believe that the best parts of me are a result of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I serve with the women of the church right now. I have also loved working with the children in teaching them music and lessons. I am not naturally a leader and prefer to stay in the background but through the different jobs I have had in church, I have developed and gained new talents and opportunities that I would never have discovered if not for the unique way our church is set up.

What is the Relief Society?

It is the organization for women in the church that is helpful to learn how to be a better daughter of God. It is more than just the 50 minute lesson on Sunday but a world wide organization of women dedicated to helping each other and others around the world. Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

YES! We believe that families can be together, in their family unit, forever when they are sealed in the temple. Show more Show less
