Hi I'm Spencer

I rock Ray Ban's daily, I drive a mini-van, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I'm serving a full time mission in the Canada, Halifax Mission! It is a great place, with great people and it is the best mission in the world! I have found more joy serving here over the last year than I ever imagined. And I have developed a passion for teaching the gospel! I like to run, work out, wrestle, and read.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because my parents had the courage to join the church 30 years ago, and share what they learned with me. But I think something that is a little more important is why I held on to the faith. I am still faithful and active in this church because I know that it is God's church on the earth today. I know that because I have seen the inspiration of my leaders, many times in my life. I know that nothing less than men of God could lead The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints today. I have felt the holy ghost as I read and pray about the things taught by our church. The holy ghost testifies of truth and acts as witness of the truthfulness of the gospel. If you want to know more, ask me!

How I live my faith

As a full time missionary I live my faith by helping others come unto Christ. I devote time to sharing the message of the restored gospel daily, and I take every opportunity I have to serve or help someone in need. That service may be teaching, or splitting wood, or even something as simple as being a friend to someone who feels left out. Joseph Smith taught that "happiness is the object and design of our existence." As long as I am helping people find happiness, then I am living my faith to the fullest!

Are Mormons Christians?

Spencer
Yes! Mormons are Christians. The official name of our church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Everything we do centers around the Savior, Jesus Christ. We Believe that he suffered and died for our sins; we believe that by following his example we can grow closer to God. It is only through Jesus Christ that we can attain salvation. Show more Show less
